However, because of its being new, implementation is a shot on the dark. With this mind, this study conducted a process evaluation in the pilot implementation of Alternative Learning System Senior High School in the Schools Division of Aurora. A duly validated semi-structured interview guide was the main instrument in data gathering and being analyzed using simple frequency count and thematic analysis model suggested by Clarke and Braun (2006). Results indicate that ALS SHS Program in the division seems to be on the right track as the number of enrollees increased to 193.57% on just its second year of implementation. The learning resources were adapted to the existing modules from formal school, localized and contextualized to make it suited to the ALS Senior High School Competencies. The strong linkages with the different partners in the implementation was also showed in the result of the interview. Blended learning and flexible learning are being offered as a learning delivery modality. As a result, those who were not able to study in formal school may have a chance to finish Basic Education. However, different challenges such as low graduation rate, lack of full-time ALS-SHS teachers, insufficient classroom facility for A&E learning session were revealed. Therefore, it is highly recommended that ALS-SHS must be expanded throughout the province to cater more students offering all the SHS specialization in TVL and Academic tracks to make the students choose courses based on their preferences, partnerships and linkages should be sustained and augmented, hire additional teachers, and there should be a standardized test nationwide assessing the learning of the students to ensure comparison among implementing schools with regard to student achievement, accountability for teachers and serve as the basis for data-driven instruction.
Carlo Noveras, Jeniffer I. In this context, the study aimed to profile smallholder farmers, analyze the factors influencing the supply chain, identify the challenges within the carabao milk supply chain, and propose a strategic plan for efficient and effective management. This research employed data collection through one-on-one interviews and analysis using frequency distribution and means to identify key factors and indicators affecting the overall supply chain. It reveals that smallholder carabao farmers is predominantly aging with limited youth involvement. The majority are married and have attained a high school level of education. Typically, they own only a few carabaos and belong to the low-income class. In terms of supply chain inputs, farmers strongly agree that they have adequate access to pasture, water, and veterinary services, but minimal in practicing grazing methods and concentrate feeding. Meanwhile, the overall production practices were rated lower than the average, with insufficient use of modern technologies and skilled laborer, despite recognizing feed quality as essential. Milk processing practices were relatively strong in hygiene standards, although on-site pasteurization is less commonly practiced. Accordingly, the distribution aspect showed mixed results, with delivery and logistics systems performing well, but access to markets and business engagement are limited. This underscores the need for stronger market linkages. Key issues includes limited feed resources, poor market access, lack of training, inefficient logistics, and low productivity. To address these gaps, a strategic plan is proposed, emphasizing improved resource management, milk quality enhancement, logistics upgrades, market expansion, and capacity building. These interventions aim to build a more resilient and competitive carabao milk supply chain, ultimately contributing to increased milk sufficiency and farmer livelihood in the Philippines.
Catherine Alyssa Licudo, Mark Edrian Macaso Copyright (c) 2025 The QUEST: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Development https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://neust.journalintellect.com/quest/article/view/241 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 A Comparative Study of the Better Operating System In School Computer Laboratories Between Linux OS and Windows OS https://neust.journalintellect.com/quest/article/view/225
This paper aims to discuss the assessment on which is a between operating system between Linux OS and Windows OS in a computer laboratory environment. Language is not only a tool for communication but also a vessel of culture and identity. However, many indigenous languages in the Philippines—such as Bulos, the native language of some communities in Dingalan—are at risk due to the dominance of Filipino and English in formal education. This creates barriers for indigenous students who struggle to understand lessons in unfamiliar languages, resulting in low comprehension, reduced participation, and cultural disconnection. Teachers also face challenges due to the lack of multilingual teaching resources. To address these issues, the application enables users to translate learning materials—such as activities, quizzes, exams, and modules—into Bulos, Filipino, or English. It also features an audio function that allows users to hear the correct pronunciation of selected words, enhancing both comprehension and oral language skills. This supports inclusive learning, language development, and cultural preservation within the classroom. The system is designed to be accessible on multiple devices, includes offline functionality, and features a user-friendly interface suited for varying levels of digital literacy. These features ensure that both students and teachers, even in remote or underserved areas, can effectively use the application regardless of connectivity or technical familiarity.

Ultimately, this project promotes educational equity, indigenous language revitalization, and cultural continuity. The research used a qualitative approach to understand these sentiments and experiences. Parents faced challenges due to unfamiliar mathematical terms in Sinugbuanong Binisaya, creating a language barrier for both them and their children. Additionally, some parents preferred English instruction due to concerns about their children's future academic and professional success. Despite these difficulties, the study also revealed positive aspects. Parents showed remarkable resourcefulness in supporting their children's learning. They found creative solutions like seeking help from family and friends, using online resources, and even implementing their own teaching methods. The experience led to a newfound appreciation for teachers' hard work and the challenges they face. This creates an opportunity for stronger collaboration between parents and teachers. The study suggests a multi-pronged approach to optimize this approach: revising Math module vocabulary for clarity, developing supplementary materials that integrate both Sinugbuanong Binisaya and English, and fostering collaboration between parents and teachers. Additionally, further research is needed to explore the long-term impact of Sinugbuanong Binisaya instruction on students' English proficiency and academic achievement.
Arnel Travero, Nancy Rubin, Leonella Marie Silvosa Copyright (c) 2025 The QUEST: Journal of Multidisciplinary Research and Development https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://neust.journalintellect.com/quest/article/view/232 Mon, 30 Jun 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Competency Assessment of NIA UPRIIS Administrative and Finance Employees: Basis for Competency-Based Human Resource Development Program https://neust.journalintellect.com/quest/article/view/218
This research study is focused mainly on the assessment of key competency areas of Administrative and Finance Division (AFD) personnel at the National Irrigation Administration – Upper Pampanga River Integrated Irrigation Systems (NIA UPRIIS).
