Located in Guangdong Province, China, the study encompassed respondents selected through purposive sampling. The questionnaire, which covered social enterprise profiles, green innovation models, drivers, and barriers, employed various analytical methods. Findings revealed a diverse landscape of social enterprises, demonstrating potential for collaboration. Positive sentiments regarding green innovation models and identified drivers underscored the sector's readiness for cross-sector collaboration. Although challenges existed, managerial commitment and innovative potential offered opportunities for collaboration. The study recommended province-level initiatives, policy advocacy, awareness campaigns, technical cooperation, and pooled investments to foster impactful green innovation in social enterprises. Given the study's location in Guangdong Province, China, the findings may have had broader implications for both local and global contexts.
